Every carrier has their own method & procedure for doing business. Sometimes this includes allowing agents to have more than one writing number or upline hierarchy on file in their system. To make sure you receive dividend distributions and that they don’t go to your prior up-line— make sure the carrier is 100% sure that the business being submitted falls under LTCPG by typing LTCPG on the client application (applications will typically have a spot for MGA/BGA/IMO). Attaching a cover letter showing LTCPG as your MGA/BGA/IMO will also work.

If you’d like to take it one step further…you can contact the carrier directly once you’ve been appointed & have them delete all former up-lines (this call will need to be made by the agent).
